OUTSTANDING MISCELLANEOUS DEBTS Council records indicate that there are a number of outstanding small miscellaneous debts that despite numerous reminders remain unpaid. Council hereby gives notice that final notices will be forthcoming and that failure to respond will result in the commencement of debt recovery action. Should debt recovery action be commenced debtors will be liable for legal costs incurred in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act 2005. Details of the applications are as follows:
Your comment on these proposed half day holidays is invited and will be received up until Monday, 15 September 2008. All submissions will be considered prior to application being made to the Director General, NSW Department of Industrial Relations for gazettal. NOTICE OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENTS The following applications have been received and are notified in accordance with Council’s Policy.
The applications and plans relating to the developments to which this notice refers may be inspected at Council’s Customer First Centre, Tozer Street, West Kempsey, any time between 8.30am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday (public holidays excepted) for the period stated above. 1 who has received written notice of a proposed development from Council; or If the application will need to be considered by Council, a precis of submissions received will be included in a report to Council for determination of the application. Copies of submissions may be included in the Appendices to the Business Paper unless specifically requested by the writer not to be included and the submission is clearly headed “confidential”. PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF DEVELOPMENT CONSENTS - ISSUED BY COUNCIL Consent has been granted for the following applications.
A record of consents may be inspected, without charge, at the Customer First Centre of the Kempsey Shire Council, Civic Centre, Tozer Street, West Kempsey, between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm from Monday to Friday (public holidays excepted). CONTROL OF GIANT PARRAMATTA GRASS Council wishes to advise that spraying of Giant Parramatta Grass, with chemical registered for its control, will take place from August until January. Spraying will be carried out on selected Council fenced roadsides and reserves. If you would like to know more about the program contact Council’s Weeds Officer, Greg Egan, on 65663200. “PROTECT YOUR HOME FROM INTRUDERS” FREE KITS Members of the community are welcome to call into Council’s Customer First Centre at 22 Tozer Street West Kempsey to pick up a Free “Protect your home from intruders” kit which provides useful information on how you can make your home more secure. Kempsey Shire Council provides these kits as part of the National Crime Prevention Campaign. If you are unable to get into Council please phone Customer First on 65 663200 and we will post one to you. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE BREAKABLE ITEMS AT CEMETERIES If you are visiting or placing flowers at any of the Shire’s cemeteries please remember that no breakable glass or ceramic containers/ornaments or solar lights are permitted to be left at graves. These types of items break easily and this presents a risk of injury to visitors and Council staff who maintain the cemetery grounds. Your assistance in this would be appreciated. Please note that Council staff will conduct periodic clean-ups at the Shire cemeteries to remove any breakable items. RESERVE YOUR LIBRARY ITEMS VIA OUR COUNCIL WEBSITE You can now reserve books, DVDs, videos, computer games, magazines via our Kempsey Shire Council website catalogue at www.kempsey.nsw.gov.au/library.htm. The process is easy, all you need to do is visit this site address and reserve your choices by using your membership number and birthdate as your password.
