‘Heroes and Villains’ interactive workshops

Budding young writers and filmmakers will be able to learn the finer points of storytelling at interactive workshops held at Kempsey Library this week.

Suitable for 10 to 15 year olds and presented by local entertainer Rhys Waite from Free Soulz Media, the three-hour workshops will teach children how to write a story, set up the production and then film and edit their video.

Children are asked to bring along some superhero figurines to help develop their stories and movies, focussing on a ‘Heroes & Villains’ theme.

Sessions will be held from 10am-1pm on Wednesday 11 January, Thursday 12 January and Friday 13 January.

Superhero craft

For younger children aged 5 to 10 years, Kempsey Library is hosting Superhero craft sessions. Children can make a mask, cape and cuff to dress up as their favourite superhero.

These sessions require parental supervision and will be held from 10am–1pm on Wednesday 11 January, Thursday 12 January and Friday 13 January.

To secure a spot at one of the workshops or craft sessions please phone Kempsey Library on 02 6566 3210
