Road Rules Awareness Week banner

Road Rules Awareness Week provides an annual opportunity for drivers to refresh their knowledge of existing rules and learn details of new or changed rules.

Part of the Towards Zero campaign, it also allows pedestrians, motorcyclists, passengers and cyclists to better understand the rules and improve their safety on or near the road to help push the number of deaths on New South Wales roads towards zero.

During Road Rules Awareness Week, why not phone the Roads and Maritime Services contact centre on 132 213 to have your questions answered by road safety experts who will help provide advice on even the most complicated enquiries quickly and clearly.

Visit the Road Rules Awareness Week and Towards Zero campaigns online at  or via social media at

Water meter reading

Contract readers have commenced water meter reading in the Shire this week. These three monthly water usage accounts will be issued in April and are due for payment by 31 May 2017.

Dog owners are asked to ensure that contract officers can access your property’s water meter without interference from your dog. Overgrown or buried water meters can also cause problems and may result in incorrect readings being registered. Please make sure your water meter is accessible at all times.
