National Youth Week events

It's Youth Week!

Part of this years celebrations is Council’s Face Future, Future Face project. Coordinated by KSC’s Community Relations team, local youth organisations and schools over the past 18 months, Face Future, Future Face celebrates the diverse and talented youth of the Macleay through a series of paste-up self portraits located on public walls around Kempsey.

Youth Homelessness Matters Day on Wednesday 5 April will this year involve an education and employment carnival at Kempsey Service Clubs Park from 10am to 2pm. Run by YP Space Mid North Coast in collaboration with various community agencies and businesses, there will be stalls, games, karaoke, a BBQ and more. All community members are encouraged to attend.

Council is supporting the Kempsey Healing Together Committee’s Dash with a Splash - a 1.5km or 3km fun run or walk where participants will be splashed with all the colours of the rainbow. Taking place at Verge Street Oval on Thursday 6 April from 10am, there will also be music, prizes, a career expo, and a health focus.
