Children’s Book Week

Children's Book Week 2017 logo

Each year the Children’s Book Council of Australia brings children and books together nationwide to celebrate Children’s Book Week. This year the week runs from 19-26 August with the theme being Escape to Everywhere.

A special Storytime session will be held at Kempsey Library on Friday 25 August at 10:30am to celebrate Children’s Book Week. The session will focus on books nominated for the Children’s Book Week Award, such as Chip by Kylie Howarth, a fun story looking at a seagull who is banned from eating his favourite food, fish and chips.

Children aged 3 years and over are invited to come along and join in the morning’s activities, which will include listening to the stories, singing and a craft session.
