Closure of Kempsey Toy Library
Kempsey Shire Library wishes to inform the community that the Kempsey Toy Library will no longer be operating from Friday 26 October.
Due to a decline in the number of toys being borrowed and the success of events such as Telstra’s “Maker Party in a Box” workshops, the library team will be developing the existing Toy Library space into an area better equipped to deliver workshops and programs with an emphasis on literacy, science and technology.
Staff have made a thorough assessment of the stock in the Toy Library and will still be keeping high end educational and special needs resources available for borrowing.
Toys that are currently on loan can still be returned after Friday 26 October, however, items not returned will still be subject to the standard library charges for overdue and/or damaged items.
The library wishes to thank the community for their support of the Kempsey Toy Library over the many years of its operation and hopes the enthusiasm and support from patrons continues in the delivery of more engaging and interactive programs for the children.
