Amended Planning Proposal And Draft Planning Agreement - Kempsey Local Environmental Plan 2013

(Draft Amendment No. 3) - Rezone Land on Gilbert Cory Street from RU2 Rural Landscape and E2 Environmental Conservation to R1 Residential and E2 Environmental Conservation

Council has received a revised Planning Proposal and draft Planning Agreement to amend the Kempsey Local Environmental Plan (KLEP) 2013 (Amendment No 3).

The Planning Proposal and draft Planning Agreement aims to:

  • Rezone Lot 10 DP754396, Gilbert Cory Street, South West Rocks from RU2 Rural Landscape and E2 Environmental Conservation to R1 Residential and E2 Environmental Conservation and revise the Minimum Lot Size map and Maximum Building Height map for this land.

The Planning Proposal and draft Planning Agreement will be on exhibition from Tuesday 8 May 2018 until Tuesday 5 June 2018.

All submissions should be received before 4:30pm on 5 June 2018

Classification Of Public Land - Section 34 Local Government Act 1993

Notice is given that Council proposes to classify the lands as detailed in the following draft resolutions:

  • It is intended to classify Lots 1, 2 & 3 DP1222868 (land off Baker Drive, Crescent Head) as operational land
  • It is intended to classify Lot 21 DP1170003 (land in Kemp Street, West Kempsey) as operational land

Prior to adopting a classification for the land, a period of 28 days from the date of this notice is provided in which written submissions will be received by Council. Any and all submissions received will be considered by Council prior to a land classification being adopted.

All submissions should be received before 4:30pm, 5 June 2018

Please note that any submission received by Council may be made publicly available. A person who makes a written submission to a planning application is required to disclose all reportable political donations and gifts (if any) made by the person making the submission or any associate of that person within the period commencing two years before the submission is made and ending when the application is determined. A disclosure statement form and further details can be obtained from Council’s website www.kempsey.nsw.gov.au

Apply for ClubGRANTS funding

The Kempsey Macleay ClubGRANTS Committee Category 1 grant applications for projects within the Kempsey Shire will open at 8:30am on Monday 7 May and close at 10pm on Sunday 24 June.

Category 1 funding is available for specific local community priorities which support community development and welfare, social services and projects aimed at improving the living standards of people in the Macleay.

Weekly works schedule

This week our crews will be working on:

Knauers Bridge works in Kinchela are nearing completion
  • Bridge construction/maintenance: Install bored piles as part of Schmidts Bridge works on Schmidts Road; restore Knauers Bridge approaches on Kinchela Creek Left Bank Road and open to traffic during week upon completion
  • Flood mitigation maintenance: Routine maintenance
  • Drainage/kerb/footpath maintenance and replacement: Remove and replace defective pipes on Michael Place, South West Rocks
  • Bitumen road resealing/maintenance: Pothole patching on Stuarts Point streets, South Kempsey streets, Warbro Brook Road, Sherwood Road, Greenhill area
  • Bitumen road construction/rehabilitation: Construct permanent concrete median islands on Tozer Street (Elbow Street to Marsh Street); form and pour driveways and excavate pavement on Tozer Street (Elbow Street to Kemp Street); extend pipe culverts on Plummers Lane (Macleay Valley Way to 1.2km); remove and replace defective kerb and gutter on Elbow/River Street service road; place and compact new pavement on Sherwood Road (Ronella Drive to Hillview Drive) as part of rehabilitation works
  • Gravel road maintenance grading: Pipers Creek Road, O’Neills Road, Bellbrook unsealed streets and Gap Creek Road
  • Roadside slashing: South Kempsey area and Plummers Lane
  • Other works:
    • Excavate for kerb and gutter and commence drainage works on Lachlan Street, South Kempsey from Nicholson Street to Yarravel Street;
    • Continue concrete cutting on Macleay Valley Way, Bellimbopinni as part of pavement repairs;
    • Continue stripping vegetation from edges of Macleay Valley Way (Bellimbopinni to Plummers Lane) as part of shoulder replacement

Any person may make a written submission to the consent authority in relation to a development application during the exhibition period.
