Biodiversity Strategy

With more than 2,500 plant and animal species and 16 threatened ecological communities, the Macleay Valley is home to a unique and rich biodiversity. To ensure this natural environment is properly managed and conserved for future generations, Kempsey Shire Council is developing a draft Biodiversity Strategy.

A discussion paper has been released on Council’s community engagement website, Your Say Macleay, to give the community an opportunity to comment on planning for biodiversity conservation and management within the Kempsey Shire.

Visit https://yoursay.macleay.nsw.gov.au/biodiversity-strategy  to have your say before Friday 14 June.
