Fly Neighbourly Advice on public exhibition

The Fly Neighbourly Advice (FNA) is a voluntary code of practice established between the Kempsey Airport, aircraft operators and the community.

The intention of the FNA is to assist with the minimisation of noise nuisance experienced by the Airport’s neighbours through observance of Fly Neighbourly Principles by both tinerant and visiting aircraft to Kempsey Airport.

The draft FNA is available to review from Council’s Tozer Street office and online at yoursay.macleay.nsw.gov.au/fna_nmp 

Submissions close on Friday 22 November 2019 and must be made in writing either via Your Say Macleay, emailed to ksc@kempsey.nsw.gov.au to the attention of the General Manager or posted to PO Box 3078 West Kempsey 2440

Kempsey Shire Council is proud to be a key sponsor of Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast’s Ignite MNC Symposium 2019 being held at The Slim Dusty Centre on Wednesday 6 November.

Designed to inspire new thinking, vibrant conversations and collaborative partnerships, Ignite MNC Symposium 2019 will bring together people who work, run businesses and live on the Mid North Coast to explore this years theme, ‘Your World 2030’.

The day will offer activations to engage the audience in future facing concepts and feature a stellar line up of speakers such as Steve Sammartino, Zoe Eather, Scotty Schindler, Pat Conaghan MP, Peter Ahul, Melinda Pavey and many more.

Temporary closure of Hat Head boat ramp

Please be advised that the Hat Head Boat Ramp will be closed from Monday 28 October while work to upgrade the ramp and carpark gets underway.

The work will involve constructing new parking bays for cars and trailers, footpaths for safer pedestrian access, kerb and gutter and upgrading the access to and from the boat ramp.

Construction is estimated to take up to four weeks and scheduled for completion ahead of Christmas holidays.

Pedestrian access will be available to the boat ramp and the beach during construction and the carpark will be open on weekends. An alternate boat ramp is located at South West Rocks.

Council thanks the community and visitors for their patience while these upgrade works are carried out.

Weekly works schedule

Pipeline works at Stuarts Point Foreshore will continue this week.

The $3.4 million project to revitalise Stuarts Point Foreshore is well and truly underway. The works will improve access to the area, provide new amenities, picnic areas, fishing facilities and a new playground.

This week pipeline works will be completed in addition to kerb and gutter works. Excavation of the carpark and the placement of pavement will also continue this week.
