Planning Proposal - KLEP 2013 - (Draft Amendment No. 17) - Amend the minimum lot size for land in Kundabung from 40ha to areas of 20ha and 10ha respectively

Council has received a Planning Proposal to amend the Kempsey Local Environmental Plan (KLEP) 2013 (Amendment No.17).

The Planning Proposal seeks to:

  • Amend the Minimum Lot Size Map for Lot 13 DP878784, 27 Seams Road, Kundabung from a minimum lot size of 40ha to areas of 20ha and 10ha respectively, to enable a future 3-lot rural subdivision.

Public exhibition and submissions

The above planning proposal is on public exhibition from Tuesday 15 January 2019 until Tuesday 12 February 2019.

Proposals can be downloaded from Council’s website under Documents on public exhibition. Hard copies are available from the Customer Service Centre at 22 Tozer Street, West Kempsey between 8:30am and 4:30pm.

Submissions should be addressed to the General Manager and may be made electronically to ksc@kempsey.nsw.gov.au or in hard copy to PO Box 3078 West Kempsey, 2440. All submissions should be received before 4:30pm, on 12 February 2019.

Please note that any submission received by Council may be made publicly available. A person who makes a written submission to a planning application is required to disclose all reportable political donations and gifts (if any) mode by the person making the submission or any associate of that person within the period commencing two years before the submission is mode and ending when the application is determined. A disclosure statement form and further details con be obtained from Council’s website www.kempsey.nsw.gov.au

Weekly works schedule

Footpath program

Polwood Street footpath, West Kempsey

Works to deliver the footpath refurbishment program are continuing, with a target of refurbishing 600 metres of footpath this financial year.

This week repairs to the footpath around the Telstra pit will be completed at Bissett and Rudder streets, East Kempsey.

Footpath works are also planned and funded through the Pedestrian Access Management Plan (PAMP). This three-year program of safety and access improvements for pedestrians aims to fix the areas identified as high priority by the community. As part of the PAMP, this week Council will be excavating and installing footpath at Polwood Street, West Kempsey.

The itemised list of other planned works for this week in bridge construction, flood mitigation, drainage, road resealing and maintenance, gravel road grading, slashing, open space works and other projects is available on Council’s website from Tuesdays.
