New BMX pump track for Kempsey

Artist concept - West Kempsey BMX pump track

Council has been engaging with young people, residents, services and NSW Police regarding the development of a BMX pump track on the corner of Leith and Sea streets in West Kempsey.

The track will be a safe, low cost, off-road recreational facility for young people and the young at heart to have fun and stay active. It will also be used for bike safety and bike maintenance education.

Back Creek foreshore carpark and open space upgrade

Aerial view of Back Creek carpark

Have your say on plans for the South West Rocks Back Creek carpark area. The plans look to improve footpath connectivity, formalise lined parking spaces to maximise safe parking and traffic flow, create linked and usable open space to make the area more inviting, balance parking with usable green space that includes picnic tables and barbecues and improve accessibility.

Service Clubs Park

The first enclosed off leash dog park in the Shire and walking/running tracks are among some of the changes included across two draft masterplans for the Kemp Street Sports Complex and Service Clubs Park.

Developed with local user and sporting groups, the plans outline the current and future uses, the priorities, and aspirations for both sites.
