Leisure Link is a program enabling people who have a disability to enjoy everyday recreational activities with the support of volunteer carers. The program provides holidays and a variety of group outings including 10 pin bowling, craft, movies, fishing, swimming etc.

A family relief service which offers temporary care for disabled children or adults in the home of a host family. Respite care is a flexible program which is able to provide care from a few hours, to overnight care to a maximum of 3 weeks at any one time. A small reimbursement is usually payable for the service and interested people should be aware that there is a waiting list.

The Macleay Talking Argus

Taped service of the Argus. Available by post on request. Phone 1800 424 359 Or Kempsey Red Cross Belgrave Street Kempsey.

For people who have difficulty reading the local newspaper. This service distributes audio cassettes of the local newspaper to anyone who finds that their eyesight or physical condition prevents them from being able to read or manipulate a newspaper effectively.

The service is free and tapes are distributed weekly. Produced by local volunteer support coordinated by the Royal Blind Society.
