Australia Day 2012
Australia Day is a community celebration! January 26th 2012 is a day for acknowledging community and national spirit in NSW, where the nation comes together to celebrate what’s great about Australia.
One way of celebrating is acknowledging the contributions made by those in our community.
“I know of many people within our community who deserve to be nominated for these awards” said Mayor Clr John Bowell. “This is an opportunity to recognise the achievements and contributions made by so many individuals.”
The 2012 categories for the awards are:
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Community Group of the Year
The closing date to lodge a nomination for the 2012 awards was Friday 18 November 2011.
The awards will be announced on the 24 January 2012. |
