KEMPSEY SHIRE - TRANSPORT INDUSTRY FOCUS GROUP

Kempsey Shire Council’s Economic Development Unit invites individuals, representatives of groups and associations, business operators and interested persons to nominate for potential membership in its Macleay Development and Promotion Transport Industry Focus Group. The purpose of the Focus Group will be to identify and investigate opportunities for the development of the transport sector in the Shire.

Once the level of community interest is gauged, Macleay Development and Promotion will appoint Focus Group members.

The goals of the selection process will be to assemble a focus group that represents a broad cross-section of our community and to draw on the community’s relevant interests and expertise, particularly in the transport industry and related services. The Focus Group functions to serve the best interests of the community as a whole.

The closing date for Expressions of Interest is 12th September 2008. Completed forms can be handed in to Council's Customer First Centre, 22 Tozer Street, West Kempsey, or the Macleay Development and Promotion office in Forth Street, Kempsey or mailed to Macleay Development and Promotion, PO Box 78, West Kempsey, NSW 2440.

TENDER FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF REPLACEMENT TIMBER BRIDGES ON MR75 ARMIDALE ROAD AND MR198 SOUTH WEST ROCKS ROAD - TENDER No. 1105

Tenders are invited and will be received up until 2.00 pm, 30 September 2008, for the design and construction of 4 timber replacement bridges being:-

• Spencers Creek Bridge on MR 198 (Jerseyville)
• Mungay Creek Bridge on MR 75
• Nulla Nulla Creek Bridge on MR75
• Devils Nook Creek Bridge on MR75

Tenders, in a sealed envelope clearly endorsed "Tender No. 1105, DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION REPLACEMENT TIMBER BRIDGES ON MR75 ARMIDALE ROAD AND MR198 SOUTH WEST ROCKS ROAD” are to be either: -

• Submitted to the General Manager, Kempsey Shire Council, PO Box 78, West Kempsey. NSW. 2440, or
• Deposited in Council's Tender Box located in the Civic Centre Foyer, Elbow Street, West Kempsey

Tenders may also be sent electronically clearly marked with "Tender No. 1105 , DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF REPLACEMENT TIMBER BRIDGES ON MR75 ARMIDALE ROAD AND MR198 SOUTH WEST ROCKS ROAD" :-

Tenders will be opened immediately after the closing time and members of the public are welcome to attend. Tenders received after the advertised closing time will not be considered. The lowest price or any other tender will not necessarily be accepted. The canvassing of Councillors will render any Tender ineligible for further consideration.
