North Street, West Kempsey - roadworks delayed
Update No. 2 - 12 April 2017

Due to the continued inclement weather since last update, roadwork in North Street, West Kempsey between River Street and Tozer Street has been further delayed and is now planned to commence on 1 May. The work involves excavation and replacement of failed sections of the road pavement, bitumen sealing and associated works. It will require the use of earthmoving plant and trucks and is expected to take four weeks. During the work access to properties may be restricted intermittently.

Traffic control will be in place as required and a temporary speed limit may be enforced. Residents are requested to obey the speed limit and follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.

Short Street, West Kempsey - roadworks delayed
Update No. 4 - 12 April 2017

Completion of roadworks in Short Street, West Kempsey between Tozer Street and River Street has been further delayed by recent inclement weather. While the work is largely complete, final bitumen sealing work is yet to be completed.

Additional work between Tozer Street and Sea Street has also been delayed and is now expected to commence on 1 May.

Traffic control will be in place as required. Residents are requested to follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.

Macleay Valley Way (Macleay Street), Frederickton - roadworks delayed
Update No. 7 - 30 March 2017

Work to upgrade Macleay Valley Way between North Street and the boat ramp access at Frederickton is progressing. Work between North and Chapman Streets is complete except for treeplanting. Work has recommenced on the section between Chapman Street and the boat ramp access (west side) but has been delayed by current inclement weather.

The work continues to require the use of earthmoving plant and trucks. Traffic control will be in place as required when the worksite is active and a temporary speed limit will be enforced. Every attempt will be made to provide for patrons accessing the shops but parking will necessarily be limited by the work site. Motorists are requested to follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.

River Street, West Kempsey - roadworks delayed
Update No. 3 - 12 April 2017

Roadworks in River Street, West Kempsey between Elbow Street and North Street have commenced but have now been further delayed by inclement weather. Work has been suspended over the Easter/Anzac Day period and will recommence on 26 April. The work involves excavation and replacement of failed sections of the road pavement, stabilisation, bitumen sealing and associated works. It will require the use of earthmoving plant and trucks and is expected to take four weeks from recommencement. During the work access to properties may be restricted intermittently.

Upon recommencement, traffic control will be in place as required and a temporary speed limit may be enforced. Residents are requested to obey the speed limit and follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.

Cochrane Street, West Kempsey - roadworks in progress
Update No. 3 - 12 April 2017

Roadwork in Cochrane Street, West Kempsey between Broughton Street and North Street is progressing but has been delayed by the recent inclement weather. The initial bitumen seal between Tabrett Street and Gordon Nixon Avenue is planned for completion on 13 April (weather permitting). Removal and replacement of failed kerb and gutter between Tabrett Street and Cameron Street has been completed but further pavement replacement and sealing work is required. Work has now been suspended until 1 May.

Upon recommencement, traffic control will be in place as required and a temporary speed limit may be enforced. Residents are requested to obey the speed limit and follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.
