The Local Heritage Assistance Fund has been established by Council with the aid of a grant from the New South Wales Heritage Office. There is a total of $10,000 in the fund made up of the Heritage Office’s grant of $5,000 and $5,000 from Council.

The aim of the fund is to encourage positive work on heritage items in the are. If you are an owner of a heritage listed item, you are invited to apply for funding. Projects which may be eligible for funding are those that involve the repair, maintenance or reinstatement of missing items on heritage buildings. These include fences, verandahs, roof cladding and painting.

Funding is available on a dollar for dollar basis, that is Council’s financial assistance would equal your contribution. In saying this, Council will give preference to projects where the overall cost of works is in excess of $2,000. Council also, encourages applications from owners considering larger projects.
