Macleay Community Care OptionsThe purpose of Macleay Community Care Options (MCCO) is to coordinate and manage services that are of practical assistance to the residents of Kempsey Shire. MCCO offers services that maintain frail aged, their carers and younger people with a disability who are at risk of premature or inappropriate placement in a permanent facility. MCCO is committed to the personal and professional development of our staff and volunteers to provide them with opportunities to reach their full potential. All MCCO services, projects and efforts are centered on the underlying premise that every person is entitled to social justice, self determination and to be treated with dignity and respect. Through the achievement of these objectives MCCO strives to be a benchmark for best practice and be a catalyst for individual and community transformation.
VolunteersMCCO believes volunteers are the lifeblood of any service; they are of particular importance to our agency and the services we provide. Strong communities are built by people taking time to connect with those struggling to maintain their independence and dignity in our community. Who Volunteers? MCCO is always looking for new volunteers all the time; our aim is to make volunteering rewarding for both you and the person you assist. Volunteers are as diverse as the community itself, and should be eager to respond to the many issues faced by people in our community. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us. |
