Valley Tours
Valley Tours is a support service for people with dementia and their carer’s. This program provides services throughout the Macleay Valley including Stuarts Point, Hat Head, Crescent Head, South West Rocks, and Kempsey and the up river communities on a Tuesday and a Thursday. Clients are away from their home between 3-5 hours each day.
Clients can be picked up from their homes and enjoy a leisurely drive to a quiet location. The destinations vary to provide interest for the clients, while the program will consistently include a light meal and activities that the clients choose or are capable of participating in.
Valley Tours promotes independence for clients in a supportive environment which allows positive socialization with others.
The half day outings allow carers to have some time out and perhaps have rest or do some chores that they have been putting off.
Cost of the day is $10.00
