Kempsey Shire Council has preparations well underway to host the 2008 Saleyard Operators of Australia AGM/Conference to be held from 23 - 25 July 2008.

Approximately 150 delegates are expected to register for this significant industry conference.

The theme for the conference is "Sale into the Future" and topics will aim to inform attendees of future directions and trends within the industry, marketing saleyards for increased returns, lessons learned from the recent E.I. outbreak and more. The conference will be held in the Kempsey Macleay RSL Club on the banks of the mighty Macleay River.

The conference will be officially opened by Mr Richard Shelldrake, Director General NSW Department of Primary Industries, and will feature high profile keynote speakers, discussion forums, workshops on current issues and industry trade displays.
