Bin Sizes, Repairs and Replacements
The standard garbage bin for households is 140 litres. If you wish to request an additional garbage bin (at an additional cost), please contact Kempsey Shire Council's Customer First Centre on 02 6566 3200. The request form is linked below in pdf format.
If your bin is damaged or goes missing please contact the Contractor on the 1300-787-223 free service call number and follow their directions. Please allow up to three (3) working days from receipt of the completed request form (shown below in pdf format) for bin replacement, or for bin repairs to damaged bins.
Bin Audits
Bin audits will be carried out randomly over the period of the contract. Additionally, any bins found to be overweight or highly contaminated will have information stickers placed on them informing the bin user of the problem.
As per the conditions of Council any bin user found to continue to ignore the information more than 3 times will have that bin removed from service. A fee will be applicable to re-instate the service.
