Midwaste - Regional Waste Forum
One of MIDWASTE's major aims is to provide measurable diversion of waste from landfill, with areas that hold the greatest potential for diversion having high priority. Funding for the regional programs comes from the NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change. Every 3 years, MIDWASTE develops a "Regional Resource Recovery Strategy" as a link between the member Councils individual waste strategies and the waste strategy of the NSW Government. This strategy outlines the direction of the group as well as outlining anticipated projects for the 3-year period. For further information on MIDWASTE go to www.midwaste.org.au |
