Youth Forum - 19 September 2008

Department of Community Services and Kempsey Shire Council conducted a joint forum to survey the opinions of young people in the Macleay Valley regarding four main subject areas:-

Education and Employement;
Safety;
Health; and
Access to Decision Making.

The event was staged at Kempsey Shire Council offices in the Chambers Committee Room. Student body representatives from several schools were in attendance plus young people not attending school but who used other youth services came to "have their say". Many who attended the forum said they thoroughly enjoyed being part of the workshop and appreciated the opportunity to voice their opinions.
