Devils Nook landslip remediation

Summary

Kempsey Shire Council has successfully applied for and received Transport for NSW funding to remediate a large landslip at Devils Nook which occurred in January 2021.

The project requires large-scale civil and geotechnical engineering construction to install rock bolts and mesh to cover the rock face.

Timeframe

The works began on 16 May 2022 and are expected to take about 10 weeks, weather permitting.

Traffic control will remain in place, and residents are asked to continue cooperating with road crews and following signage.

Location

The landslip is on Armidale Road, approximately 6km east of Bellbrook.
