Turners Flat Road, Turners Flat - proposed bridgeworks

Work to construct a new bridge over the Macleay River at Turners Flat is planned to commence on Monday 29 April 2019. The works involve the construction of a new concrete bridge adjacent to the existing timber bridge, construction of road approaches and demolition of the existing bridge. The new bridge will be two lanes wide and 1.5m higher than the existing bridge for better service during floods.

The project is being undertaken for Council by Waeger Constructions and will take up to 40 weeks to complete (subject to favourable weather conditions). When necessary, the bridge and approaches will be under traffic control during normal working hours and short delays may occur. The existing bridge is not expected be closed for any extended period during construction.

In the interest of safety, during the work a temporary speed limit will be enforced both during and after normal working hours. Motorist are requested to follow instructions from traffic controllers at all time when present.

Belmore Street, Crescent Head - proposed roadworks

The rehabilitation of Belmore Street, Crescent Head is planned to commence on Monday 29 April 2019. The work involves excavation and replacement of kerb & gutter and existing pavement.

Traffic control will be in place for the duration of the works, approximately 4 weeks. Residents are requested to obey the speed limit and follow instructions from traffic controllers at all times.
