Supports for new Willawarrin Showground amenities block

Work starts on new amenities in Willawarrin

Work to install the piers and footings for a new amenities block in the Willawarrin Sportsground got underway this week.

The new, prefabricated amenities will be located east of the existing building and will be installed next Wednesday (23 June). A new roof and access pathway will also be constructed with the project expected to be completed in July.

The need for more toilets in the sports ground, particularly those with disabled access, was identified to Council after the 4th Annual Epic Horse Sale and Campdraft in 2019.

The existing amenities will remain in place and operational until the new amenities block has been completed and opened to the public.
