Kempsey Shire Council Annual Report 2023-2024 and General Purpose Financial Statements for the year ended 30 June 2024

The Kempsey Shire Council 2023-24 Annual Report gives a comprehensive account of Council’s performance from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024.

This publication is one of the key components of the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework, legislated by the NSW Government. It is in an integral part of Council being open and accountable in reporting to our community.

The Annual Report has three parts:

1. Part A provides a community overview of the highlights, achievements and challenges of the financial year aligned to the agreed community values of Environment, Economy, Community and Leadership .
2. Part B contains legislated detail about Council’s operations and expenses. It is the report of activities and operations of Council for the financial year to 30 June 2024, reporting on statutory requirements and Council’s achievements in implementing its Delivery Program.
3. Part C contains the independently audited financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2024.

State of our Shire Report

The State of the Shire Report (previously known as the End of Term Report) is a report on the progress of the Kempsey Shire Community Strategic Plan 2022-2042, Your Future, and the achievement of its goals over the Council term 2021-2024.

It provides details of Council’s contributions to realising the community’s vision and the progress of the Kempsey Shire in the recently completed term of Council.
