Proper sorting of your rubbish can save you money. Waste sorting is the process by which waste is separated into different recoverable materials. The aim of waste sorting is to help the community save money and save our landfill airspace which helps the environment.

Recycle more

The NSW Waste Levy applies to the Kempsey Shire Council local government area and aims to reduce the amount of waste being landfilled and promote recycling and resource recovery. Learn more at Waste levy areas and levy rates  

Mattresses and bed bases

If customers breakdown their mattress or bed base into recyclable materials, then these items can enter the Waste Management Centre free of charge.
