Ground assessment

The surface conditions of the fields are checked in the early afternoon on weekdays during periods of wet weather.

The status of each field is updated as close as possible to 2pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

If a field is closed on a Friday or before a public holiday it remains closed until the next working day.

Weekend users' responsibility 

The final assessment of grounds by Council staff takes place on a Friday afternoon.

If the fields are open but adverse weather moves in, it becomes the responsibility of the user groups to determine on game day if the ground is suitable for play. 

If scheduled games take place on the weekend and cause excess damage to the grounds, it may force grounds to be closed for extended periods of time.
