The new Kempsey Development Control Plan (2026) is now in place.
The plan was endorsed by Council at the June 2026 Ordinary Council Meeting and formally adopted on 1 July 2026.
In accordance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021, the plan has been publicly notified and the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has been advised.
The plan provides planning and design guidelines to support the consistent assessment of development across the Kempsey Shire local government area.
