Workforce Management Plan
Council’s Workforce Management Plan (WFMP)(PDF, 500KB) is a key part of the Resourcing Strategy under the Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) framework. It outlines how we plan to attract, develop, and retain the people we need to deliver the services and projects identified in our Community Strategic Plan and Delivery Program.
The WFMP considers current and future workforce needs, skills gaps, succession planning, and organisational structure to ensure we have the right people in the right roles at the right time.
As set out in the IP&R Guidelines, the WFMP works alongside the Long-Term Financial Plan and Strategic Asset Management Plan to support sustainable service delivery. It helps Council build a capable, adaptable, and resilient workforce that can respond to changing community expectations and operational demands—ensuring we’re well-positioned to meet both present and future challenges.
The WFMP is a four-year plan, updated at the beginning of each new Council term.
