Preliminary result for election of Mayor 2024

The NSW Electoral Commission has announced a preliminary result for the 2024 Kempsey Local Government Mayoral election.
The preliminary result declares Kinne Ring as Mayor of Kempsey Shire Council for the next term.
The NSW Electoral Commission allows this result to be appealed for up to 24 hours after the results were declared.
The election was conducted by NSW Electoral Commission and held on Saturday 14 September, 2024. 24,022 residential and non-residential electors were enrolled in the shire by 5 August 2024.
Once the NSW Electoral Commission representative has distributed preferences according to the Optional Preferential counting system as defined in Schedule 4 of the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021, the final outcome will be declared.
The result of the vote for the 8 Councillor positions for the coming term will be announced by the NSW Electoral Commission at 1:15pm on Tuesday 1 October 2024.
