Most Macleay River bridges and crossings have reopened.

Bridges status as of 9.00am Monday 7 April 2025

  • Bellbrook Bridge - OPEN
  • Toorooka Bridge - OPEN
  • Temagog Bridge - OPEN
  • Turners Flat Bridge - OPEN
  • Sherwood Bridge - OPEN
  • Dungay Creek Causeway - OPEN
  • Dowlings Falls Causeway - CLOSED
  • McCoys Bridge on Willi Willi Road remains CLOSED due to structural damage that occurred in March. 

Please do not take unnecessary risks and never drive through flood waters.

Flood infrastructure

The flood infrastructure on the Lower Macleay remains closed.

  • Flood relief gates at Kinchela Creek and Belmore River are closed.
  • Flood gates (crossover gates) at Kinchela Creek, Belmore River, Christmas Creek, and Euroka Creek are closed.

Please plan ahead. Council continues to monitor conditions closely and will provide updates as needed.
