Flood recovery works to start at walking track and Riverside Park

Flood recovery works are set to begin next week at Verge and Eden Street walking track and Riverside Park, following damage from recent flooding.

Verge and Eden Street walking track

From Monday 23 June, contractors will begin repairs along the Verge and Eden Street walking track after sections were washed away or damaged by floodwaters.

The track will remain open during the works, but users are advised to take care and detour around active work zones.

Repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the week.

Riverside Park repairs

Starting Wednesday 25 June, Council will undertake repairs and sanitation works at Riverside Park. This includes cleaning play equipment, benches and tables, replacing playground softfall, repairing and mulching garden beds and fixing picnic facilities.

Electrical contractors will also be on site to repair damaged infrastructure.

These works are expected to take approximately two weeks.
