Help identify the Shire's best volunteers

Kempsey Shire Council are calling for nominations from community members and representatives of groups interested in joining its Australia Day Awards Committee.

There are three vacant community positions available on the Committee under the requirements of a revised charter that was adopted by Council at its April 2019 meeting.

Nominations are invited from people interested in joining the committee in reviewing how the Shire’s Australia Day Awards events are promoted, planning the associated events and taking an active role in determining award recipients. We are looking for community representatives that have a demonstrated broad community focus and want to work constructively to revitalise the way that we celebrate local success stories.

Selection criteria:

• Interest in promoting, planning, reviewing Council's Australia Day Events and determining award recipients
• Demonstrated broad community focus
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and constructively in groups where a diversity of opinion is both encouraged and respected
• Commitment to abide by the terms of the Committee’s Charter and Council’s Code of Conduct

Applications close 30 June 2022.
