Ballot draw determines order for upcoming by-election

The ballot draw for the Kempsey Shire Council local government by-election determining the order candidates will appear on the voting paper took place at 10am on Thursday 30 June 2022 at the Kempsey Returning Officer’s Office.

The next key date in the lead up to the Kempsey Shire Council by-election is Monday 18 July when pre-poll voting opens.
Residents that are unable to make it to a polling place on Election Day may also apply for a postal vote online or download an application form at elections.nsw.gov.au
Election day will take place on Saturday 30 July 2022 between 8am-6pm. At the election the 8 Councillor roles for the Kempsey local government area will be filled.
