Council begins precautionary preparations as flood watch issued

Kempsey Shire Council has commenced flood preparations to protect the community and Council assets, in response to the Flood Watch issued by the Bureau of Meteorology.

Residents may notice staff actively carrying out these tasks, including but not limited to, relocating shipping containers at Verge and Eden Street fields, demobilising the worksite and moving steel for the Riverside Park project and preparing pumps at Stuarts Point.

These proactive measures are being implemented to safeguard infrastructure, should flooding occur.
