Are you hating lockdown? It’s tough on all, especially local businesses.

This most recent lockdown has come off the back of years of natural disasters and a lockdown last year.

Our local businesses are making every effort to stay alive during COVID but they need our help.

Many shops are still open for business, often in  and there are several ways to show your support through delivering some care package suggestions below.

• Take the night off cooking - your decision to not cook one night and order takeaway could mean your favourite restaurant keeps on trading beyond the pandemic.
• Buy online Check if your favourite Macleay business is trading online and share their site with your family and friends.
• Purchase a gift certificate – this will help keep money coming into the business at a time of need
• Where you can, order your produce locally
• Cheer them on! If you have a family member or friend who runs a local business, makes sure to keep supporting them
• Respect staff – frontline staff play an essential role in our economy, so acknowledge their contribution, treat them with respect and show gratitude for their service
• Tell your family and friends – a genuine review can do wonders for a local business
• Support them on social media through posts, likes, shares, comments and reviews
