Weather delays competion of Macleay Street Kempsey asphalting works

Due to wet weather, the completion of this project has been delayed until Tuesday 25 July, weather permitting.

Traffic control will be in place for residents and the existing detours will remain for other motorists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Macleay Street Kempsey will be partially closed commencing Monday 17 July to Wednesday 19 July. Kempsey Shire Council is completing asphalting works in this location.

How will the work affect you?

We apologise for any inconveniences that local residents may experience over the duration of the works. Please assist us by not parking vehicles in the immediate construction area. Communications will be relayed to residents who live in the construction areas.

When we're working on the road in front of your property, there may be limited access to your driveway. We'll work with you to facilitate alternative access options during this time. 

The work will involve the use of machinery which generates some noise. We will make every effort to minimise noise turning off machinery and vehicles when not in use.

Changes to traffic

The road will be partially closed with alternating traffic on one lane. A 40km/h speed limit will be in place during work hours and may affect travel times. Please allow extra travel time as you may experience delays due to changed traffic conditions. Local diversions will be in place, please follow instructions given by traffic controllers and use alternate routes available.
