As water meter reading starts, please control dogs and weeds
Published on 15 August 2023
Kempsey Shire Council's water meter reading season is about to commence, with meter readers set to visit properties from 21 August.
As part of this process, customers are being reminded to clean up around their water meter and ensure it is easily accessible for the meter readers. This includes ensuring any overgrown vegetation is trimmed back and any buried meters are uncovered.
In addition, dog and other domestic animal owners are reminded to keep their pets restrained during the meter reading period to ensure the safety of the meter readers. Any interference from pets could cause issues with the accuracy of the meter readings.
It is important that water meters are accessible at all times to ensure accurate readings and to prevent billing issues.
Kempsey Shire Council thanks customers for their cooperation during the meter reading period. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact council on 6566 3200 and ask for the Water Account Officer or the Rates Department.
