Kempsey’s Savages Lane Wins Gold at Australian Street Art Awards

Exciting news for Kempsey as Savages Lane wins the Gold Award for the Best Street Art Laneway at the Australian Street Art Awards, announced last Friday 8 March 2024.
From the mountains to the sea, the 14 murals that adorn Savages Lane were created by numerous incredible artists to celebrate natural beauty and shared history of the picturesque Macleay Valley Coast.
A big congratulations to the artists, Kempsey Shire Council, and everyone who has made Savages Lane a must-visit spot. Thank you to the Australian Street Art Awards, who have been recognising excellence in art tourism since 2018, for putting Kempsey on the map and turning the laneway into a celebrated art destination.
Make sure you take the time to stroll down the lane, marvel at the vibrant colours and soulful depictions of the people, places and wildlife that form part of this wonderful coastal region of NSW!
