We're turning Silver(mine) into gold!

Willi Willi Road will be closed between Sherwood Road and Turners Flat Road for 2 months for the replacement of Silvermine Bridge.

Many of the shires wooden bridges need replacing so they are better prepared for floods.

The Silvermine Bridge replacement works will start on 19/09/2022 to help the many drivers who use it travel safely and comfortably.

The works are being run by Council in partnership with Fishers Asphalt.

Our community is built on a river and our crossings are our arteries. The support for this event is another example of Council's commitment to a community vision that "our people are given the opportunities and infrastructure to build a safe, welcoming and sustainable community."
