Top turf on sports fields

Maintenance of several local sporting fields during December and January will ensure they are ready for this year’s busy sporting season. 

A professional turf contractor has been aerating several fields. Council staff are top dressing the fields with a sports field mix. The special mix is designed to boost the health and longevity of fields in regular use.

The fields are

  • Verge 1 sports field, Kempsey
  • Soccer 1 and Soccer 2 fields at Verge and Eden Street sports fields, Kempsey
  • Dangar 1 sports field, Dangar Street, Kempsey
  • Smithtown sports field
  • The main soccer field at Crescent Head sports field

The works will be completed by end of January so there’s minimal interruption to upcoming competitions.
