Council has remediated six landslips on Armidale Road near Bellbrook in the Macleay Valley hinterland.
Each site required solutions to prevent and control rocks and soil falling to the roadway and causing a hazard for motorists.
Council and specialist consultants have used civil and geotechnical engineering to design construction methods, including fixing mesh with rock bolts to cover the rock face.
The landslips occurred in three locations near Schoolhouse Creek and two near Tynes Gap on Armidale Road, caused by years of repeated flooding.
The remediation works began on 19 September 2022 and finished in July 2023.
Council has received Transport for NSW funding for the works under the NSW Government's disaster relief arrangements.
