Gladstone Hall refurbishment

Council has refurbished Gladstone Hall's heritage facade and roof to enhance the appearance and extend the life of an already historic building.

The project includes:

  • repairs to the external timber cladding, including wet rot
  • roof repairs
  • electrical works
  • decking repairs, including addressing the porch subsidence
  • repairs to pressed metal facings, capping and copings
  • parapet repairs
  • vegetation removal
  • replacement of the non-compliant stairs and other step repairs
  • stormwater drain repairs
  • repainting of the entire facility using the colour palette provided by Council's Heritage Advisor. 

Timeframe

The works began in September 2022 and finished in February 2023.

Funding

Council has successfully obtained funding of $124,678 for the project under the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund (Round 3). Council is contributing an additional $50,000 to the project.
