Verge 1 Sporting Field Master Plan

A master plan has been adopted to transform Verge 1 Sporting Field into an elite regional sports complex.
The aim is to enhance local sporting opportunities and community events, creating a high-quality space that delivers memorable experiences for all.
Following the public exhibition period, community submissions were reviewed and relevant changes were made before the plan was adopted at the November 2023 Council Meeting.
How was the plan developed?
Kempsey Shire Council developed the master plan in collaboration with key stakeholders and design consultants Stone Three. The plan reflects valuable input from regional sporting bodies, local rugby league, rugby union, and soccer clubs, as well as local schools.
Council funded the development of the master plan using previously secured NSW Government funding.
Next steps
The works outlined in the master plan remain unfunded. Council is now actively seeking funding opportunities to bring this major community project to life.
