Armidale Road major landslip repairs

Significant repair works are set to begin on Armidale Road after recent flooding caused extensive landslip damage along the route, 9km west of Bellbrook. 

A total of 14 landslip sites have been identified, highlighting the urgent need for remediation to ensure the long-term safety of road users.  The project will involve the construction of Soil Nail Walls to stabilise the affected areas. 

An independent contractor has been appointed and managed traffic control will be in force for the duration of the project. While every effort will be made to minimise disruptions, road users are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

Council acknowledges that the works may cause inconvenience and appreciates the community’s patience as we undertake this essential infrastructure repair. These improvements will significantly enhance road safety and resilience for years to come.

Funded by Transport for NSW.

Timeframe

Works will commence on Tuesday 5 August 2025 and are scheduled to continue through to Tuesday 30 June 2026.
