Rankine Street upgrade, Crescent Head

Summary

Council carried out work to revitalise Rankine Street in Crescent Head between July 2021 and January 2022.

Under the Crescent Head Village Renewal Plan (Stage 1), improvements were made to the streetscape infrastructure between Scott and East Street, including footpaths, ramps, seating and landscaping.

The Crescent Head Village Renewal Plan is part of the broader Crescent Head Public Domain Project.

Rankine Street's new digs open for business

Background

Between December 2016 and August 2017, the Crescent Head community was involved in extensive consultation to help develop the Crescent Head Area Master Plan.

Public infrastructure, housing availability and protection of the natural environment all emerged as significant issues for the future of Crescent Head.

This led to the development of the Crescent Head Public Domain Plan, which was adopted by Council in October 2020.
